The bold initiative debuted on Friday, March 21, 2025, at Next Media Park in Kampala, uniting Uganda’s top creatives, fashion enthusiasts, and music lovers to celebrate reimagination, self-expression, and community collaboration.

The refreshed pack design burst with expressive energy, reflecting the campaign’s dynamic spirit. Despite the updated look, Guinness Smooth retains its signature smooth taste, blending roasted barley and sweet malt to perfection. This rebrand sets the stage for ‘Make It Yours,’ inspiring the next generation to seize their passions and craft something uniquely their own.

Guinness Smooth spotlights two visionary brand founders, Uganda’s Denim Cartel and Nigeria’s Waffles and Creamv, who embody this ethos. These trailblazers share their journeys of harnessing creativity to redefine their industries and build thriving communities, aligning seamlessly with the campaign’s core message.

Troy Elimu, the innovative mind behind Denim Cartel, ranks as one of only two African creatives partnering with Guinness Smooth on this groundbreaking project. Elimu transforms street fashion into an art form, weaving bold storytelling, sustainability, and striking design. His work mirrors the campaign’s call to shape the future through fearless creativity.

Elizabeth Mutamuliza, Head of Beer at Uganda Breweries Limited, underscored the rebrand’s significance. “Guinness Smooth connects people through rich, meaningful moments,” she said. “With ‘Make It Yours,’ we take our boldest leap yet, empowering the next generation to own their creativity, forge fresh narratives, and celebrate community in exciting ways.”

The launch event captivated attendees with a fusion of art, fashion, and sound. Denim Cartel curated an exclusive fashion showcase, revealing a limited-edition collection inspired by Guinness Smooth’s bold new identity. Performances electrified the crowd, featuring Tai Dai Xppressions UG and Elijah Kitaka, alongside immersive installations from Fix by Oringa, Nunu the Creative, and Murembo Collection.
