Uganda’s most loved lifestyle festival, Roast and Rhyme, is back with a fresh twist! After being postponed from its original February 23rd date at Jahazi Pier due to venue issues and safety concerns, the Reggae Ragga Nyam Nyam Edition has been rescheduled for Sunday, June 1st, 2025, at the centrally located Lugogo Hockey Grounds in Kampala.

Organizers Swangz Avenue emphasized that the decision to postpone was made to ensure the safety and experience of all attendees. They’ve since promised an even better experience in the city, marking the festival’s first full urban edition.
This will be the 23rd edition of Roast and Rhyme — a milestone for an event that has grown from a simple Sunday hangout into one of Uganda’s biggest music and food festivals. With the Kampala skyline in the background, fans can expect a high-energy day filled with live music, roasted meats, and urban vibes.

Performers lined up include Winnie Nwagi, Karole Kasita, and Fyno UG, with Swangz Avenue promising a thrilling city vibe that matches the event’s beach roots.
Tickets purchased for the February edition remain valid. To appreciate fan loyalty, every valid ticket now grants entry for two people — perfect for sharing the vibe.

Tickets are available at UGX 100,000 (Standard) and UGX 200,000 (VVIP) via the FlexiPay app or by dialling *291#.
Roast and Rhyme has consistently supported Uganda’s creative sector, offering opportunities to artists, vendors, and small businesses. This edition is no different.
Whether you missed the last one or are new to the scene, June 1st at Lugogo is your chance to vibe, feast, and celebrate what makes Kampala come alive.
