When Strictly Soul announced its return to Kampala for a third edition on January 31st, the buzz surrounding the announcement was a testament to the unforgettable experience of the inaugural editions. By the time the event took place on February 27th, anyone who had thought it was just social media hype had been proven wrong, as all tickets on the online platform had been sold out.

Given all this background, one would not be surprised by the turnout at 1420 as early as 5 PM on a working day. With the production house and Camelot Concepts having crossed the T’s and dotted the I’s, the revelers wasted no time in kicking off the party.

Kicking off the night was DJ Anselm, who needs no introduction when it comes to R&B sets in Kampala. He brilliantly raised the tempo with his carefully crafted set, which not only had revelers on their feet with hit songs and club bangers but also constantly putting their Shazam apps to the test.
In similar fashion, DJ Bryan used his set to enter the souls of revellers pushing them to reveal their emotions going by the video and pictorial content available on All Events Kampala social media platforms.

Then came DJ Akio, the night’s headliner, who took the energy to another level not just behind the decks but also on the mic. With over 20 years of experience, Akio didn’t just mix music; he curated an experience, seamlessly blending Old School and New-School, while keeping the crowd engaged with his infectious hype. His set wasn’t just about playing songs it was the ultimate Stictly Soul experience.

From classic 90s anthems to the latest hits, the setlists had something for everyone. The transitions were seamless, the song choices were impeccable, and the energy never dipped—just what a Strictly Soul event is all about. Adding to the vibrant atmosphere was Tinah Teise, who kept the crowd engaged throughout the night, hyping up revelers and making sure the energy stayed at its peak.
